3 piece bathroom rough in a basement by builder - p-trap ?
Can someone clarify! when builder provides bathroom rough-in in the basement, does it mean all necessary p-traps already in place?
And the shower pan and toilet bowl can be just mounted on top?
Thanks

Only the shower should have trap in the slab and your floor drains. Take the cap off pour some water in it and see with a flashlight if water sits on the bottom. Toilet needs a flange and make sure that the center at least 13" away from the framing. The toilet itself has the trap. For the sink, the trap will be right under the sink itself.

That's why retrofit showers are usually elevated to make room for a trap.
I smile when I see container ships sailing past my house laden with stuff made in China

Never seen that to be honest. I know Kerdi has something like that.
If there's no trap, start cutting and open the slab around it.
